Yes. Open the web teleprompter in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge on Windows, macOS, or Linux. It also works on phones and tablets in the mobile browser. There is no native desktop or Android app — use the browser instead.

Does the web teleprompter support mirror mode for glass rigs?

Yes. Toggle horizontal and/or vertical mirror so the script reads correctly in a beam-splitter glass teleprompter. The read-line cue flips with the text.

Can I change text and background colors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pick custom text and background colors, or use the same theme presets as the iOS app: Classic, Moonlight, Manuscript, Daybreak, and Voltage. Your last display settings are remembered in the browser (the script itself is not saved).

Is there a countdown before the script starts scrolling?

Optional. Countdown is off by default. Open the timer control and choose 1–30 seconds. Tap, Space, or pause cancels the countdown.

Can I record video while using the web teleprompter?

Yes. Click Camera to show your webcam behind the script, then Record to capture a short test clip (up to 60 seconds) while the teleprompter scrolls. Recording stays in your browser — nothing is uploaded. For longer takes, use the iOS app.

Do I have to turn on the camera to use the teleprompter?

Accepted Answer

No. The teleprompter works on its own for rehearsal. Camera and recording are optional — turn them on only when you want to film a quick browser test take.

Is my webcam video uploaded to a server?

No. Recording happens locally in your browser. The video stays on your device unless you download it.
